On the 1st-2nd October, Rubik’s Cube Pop-up store opened its doors in celebration of their 40th anniversary. Event Merchandising partnered with Rubik’s to bring the pop up shop to Covent Garden. The colourful and dynamic store ignited vast interest amongst passers-by, many of whom have known and loved the colourful cube for many years as well as others who were intrigued by what they thought to be an impossible puzzle. Alongside the official Rubik’s products, Event provided a range of T-shirts, mugs, caps, tote bags and more at the store which was popular amongst tourists, Rubik’s fans as well as determined first-time triers.
Influencers gave the cube a try with the help of Rubik’s record-holders who were present to also help customers solve the cube. Upon completion, each participant earned an official attempt medal for contributing to The Guinness World Record for the most individuals contributing to a single Rubik’s Cube mosaic, which formed a portrait of His Royal Highness the Duke of Sussex, Prince Harry.
