Terms & Conditions

The following terms and conditions govern any contract for the sale and purchase of items through The EVENT. Please read them carefully. They do not affect your statutory rights.

1. Who We Are

The EVENT is operated by Event Merchandising Ltd (“Event”, “we”, “us”, “our”) of Unit 11, Edge Business Centre, Humber Road, London, NW2 6EW.

2. Our Contract With You

A legally binding contract is formed between us and you when we receive your order and payment, and we send you a confirmation e-mail to the address you provided when placing your order.

3. Availability

All orders are subject to acceptance and product availability. If a product you have ordered is unavailable for any reason, you will not be charged for it, and any money already debited will be refunded. We are not liable for any disappointment or other losses arising from product unavailability.

4. Age Restriction

You must be at least 18 years of age to order goods through The EVENT.

5. Pricing

All prices on our website include VAT but exclude packing and delivery charges, which will be shown separately at the time you place your order. You will be told the total price of your order, including packing and delivery, before your order is confirmed.

6. Price Changes

While we make every effort to ensure prices on our site are accurate, we reserve the right to amend a price to reflect an increase in our suppliers’ costs, the imposition of new taxes or duties, or to correct an error or omission in a published price. We will notify you of any increase (but not a decrease) in the total amount payable and give you the opportunity to cancel your order. If the goods have already been delivered, you may return them at your own risk and receive a full refund, including any reasonable return costs.

7. Delivery

Your goods will be delivered according to the preference stated on your order, either as items become available, or as a single delivery once all items are ready, which may take up to 21 days, to the address given when placing your order. For addresses within the United Kingdom, we will always aim to deliver within 30 days of your order being placed.

8. Delayed Delivery

If we are unable to deliver within 30 days, we will notify you by e-mail of a new expected delivery date. If this is not acceptable to you, you may cancel your order and receive a refund for the value of any goods not yet received.

9. Our Liability for Delivery

Other than for damage to goods caused by our negligence, our responsibility ends once we first attempt delivery to you. We are not liable for any losses, costs, damage, charges or expenses caused by delay or failure of delivery.

10. Your Right to a Refund

You may request a refund if the goods:

–  arrive damaged or faulty;

–  do not match the description of the goods you ordered;

–  are incomplete in quantity (unless you chose to receive items as they become available); or

–  do not arrive.

You also have the right to cancel your order and receive a refund even where none of the above applies, in line with your statutory rights under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. This right does not apply to goods that have been personalised to your specification, or to audio, video or software items once the seal has been broken.

11. How Refunds Are Handled

Where you notify us of an issue under Clause 10, our only obligation is to refund the amount you paid for the goods in question. We are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss or damage, and our liability is limited to a refund of the amount paid for the goods.

12. Ownership of Goods

We retain ownership of the goods until payment has been received in full. All credit and debit card payments are subject to validation checks and authorisation by the card issuer. If authorisation is not received, we will not deliver your goods and will not be liable for any resulting delay or non-delivery.

13. Events Outside Our Control

We have no liability for any failure or delay in delivering your goods, or for any damage or defect to goods, caused by events or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

14. Waiver

If we choose not to enforce, or delay enforcing, any part of these Terms and Conditions, this does not affect our right to enforce the rest of them at a later date.

15. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions constitute the entire agreement relating to the purchase of goods through The EVENT and are governed by English law, subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of England and Wales. If any provision is found to be unenforceable, this will not affect the validity of the remaining provisions.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. The version published on our website at the time of your order will apply to that order.

17. Contact Us

You can contact our Customer Service team on 020 8208 1166 during office hours or by e-mail at [email protected]. We aim to respond to all enquiries within five working days of receipt.
